Welcome to the Madrina Molly™ Community
I’m delighted to report that we had a successful launch last week. Our mission to democratize and demystify financial information for Women of a Certain Age(ncy) and their Allies and Friends has begun!
Only 16% of BoomX Women Say They Have Received Financial Education
That’s not acceptable. For years, women have been reaching out to me for financial advice and planning assistance. By and large you are:
Stressed and ashamed that you somehow missed the memo on how to manage money.
Ready to make yourselves wrong when you seek advice. (Seriously, the women I meet are quick to begin the conversation with, “I’m sure you’re going to tell me my financial management is terrible.”)
Scared that you won’t be able to continue working long enough to fund your retirement.
Worried that you’ll need to work forever to fund your retirement.
Ping-ponging from children to work to parents without time for yourself.
Angry that media, marketers, and institutions think you’re invisible.
A Madrina Molly™ subscription gives you a place to go to ask your questions, confirm you are on the right track, solve problems, and achieve a lovely "second half" of life. All of this comes with the confidence of knowing that I’m not a finfluencer; I’m a former working financial planner and a current (and forever) CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional.
Most Americans Dramatically Underestimate How Long They Will Live
If you’re 50 and have, on average, 32 or more years to live, what are you going to do with that time? Of course, you want to have enough money to last your lifetime. But you also want the skills to be able to use the latest technology, cooking tools, and entertainment media. You want to be able to communicate with your grandchildren. You want to be healthy for as much of your long life as possible, with the energy and strength to do what you want to do. You want all of that, don’t you?
That’s why, at Madrina Molly™ longevity planning is financial planning and vice versa. There’s always going to be change, and there's always going to be a “new” new economy. And we, the Women of a Certain Age(ncy), are the ones to take advantage of it because we are #NotYoungNotDone and we all have #MoreRunwayThanWeThink.
The Challenge
There are only 100,000 CFP® Professionals. Of these, under 24,000 are women. That means there simply aren’t enough credentialed financial planners to go around. And, while it’s well documented that women would prefer to work with women financial advisors, it’s not easy to find them. What’s more, because young CFP® Professionals need to build their practices, they may seek out the wealthiest clients or have minimums for investible assets or net worth. That leaves a lot of mass affluent households out in the cold.
The Solution
Madrina Molly™ Community provides education and thought leadership to a larger audience, digitally. Members have direct access to me and the resources the team has put together. We want you to have faith that I provide measured information with fiduciary care. Like all good planners, I certainly have opinions. But I promise I am clear about planning domain best practice versus personal preferences.
This is how we will democratize, demystify and disrupt the financial planning domain. Gatekeeping this information is wrong, especially for the cohort that will control $30 trillion by 2030.
Our goal is for you to feel more confident about your next 50 years
As with all communities, the more questions you ask and the more you engage, the more you will personally benefit.
Madrina Molly™ Community does not provide or broker financial solutions. If you are a DIY financial person, you may take the information and run with it, so to speak. If you require investment or insurance products, we will gladly refer you to a credentialed advisor or suggest who you may contact.
If you already have a relationship with a financial advisor or planner, Madrina Molly™ is intended to supplement that relationship, not replace it.
What is Financial & Longevity Planning?
Nobody enters the financial planning conversation at the same place. Thus, there is no linear workflow to financial planning. Think of it using a sports metaphor, where there is offense, defense, rules, and optimizing techniques.
If you have all four, you have a game plan. If you only have one or two, you must rely on luck.
Let’s not rely on luck.
You’ll learn about:
Cashflow Management
Growing Wealth
Insurance and Protection
Business Planning
Education & Gifts
Retirement Planning
Lifetime Income
Investing in your Health
Longevity Literacy
Estate Planning
Your subscription includes access to all articles and mini courses contained in the collection.
Most importantly: it includes the ability to ask your personal financial and longevity planning questions to which I will create an informed response.
Shared Wisdom is the Best Wisdom
Madrina Molly™ has free Wisdom Circles that anyone can join to take part in the conversation around Financial & Longevity Planning. You can self-select into one or more of the following:

I’m so excited to bring this knowledge to a larger audience. And speaking of a larger audience, I am offering two courses absolutely free for anyone who wants access:
Aspirational Bucketing: How to Manage your Cashflow and
Where to Save and Invest Your Money
Whew! That’s how we’re going to level the financial playing field for anyone who is motivated to learn financial best practice. This information is too important to gatekeep.

I can’t begin to tell you how delighted I am that we’ve done a full year of weekly posts for Madrina Molly™! Have you laughed? Have you learned? I know I have. Welcome to our final post of the year before we take a holiday hiatus, and I celebrate my early January #Peak65 birthday with the Hubs, Col. Mustard. We’re headed to Quebec City and Montreal for a fancy, foodie few days. It’s his birthday celebration too. Just not #Peak65. He has to wait his turn.
Hurricane Jackie (Mom) and I have a running joke that, “If you live long enough, anything becomes possible.” If you ask her, she was not a thin, athletic, or a particularly pretty younger woman. Sure enough, as she has aged and I have aged along with her, we find that things once completely alien to us are reflected by the regard of those around us. For having outlasted her peers, she’s thin, athletic (mobile and independent), smart, and pretty!
